For users of Blackboard Learning System - Enterprise, our Elluminate Bridge enables you to easily and seamlessly integrate live, synchronous distance learning and collaboration into your coursework.

That means instructors can schedule and deliver classes using Elluminate Live! our Internet-based, real-time, multi-platform eLearning tool that includes superior voice over the Internet, video, shared whiteboards, text messaging, breakout rooms, application sharing, PowerPoint import, and more.

And participants can launch a synchronous session or recording using Elluminate Live! directly from the Blackboard Learning System - Enterprise for a great user experience every time—regardless of connection speed.

Features and System Interfaces

Elluminate Bridge features include:

• A Building Block which provides seamless access allowing users to access sessions and recordings from within Blackboard without the need for a second login
• Administration settings include the ability to:
  • Enable the Building Block for all or certain courses
  • Allow instructors and other specified user roles to create Elluminate Live sessions
• Session settings allow instructors to:
  • Designate sessions with specific moderators, allow student moderators or allow all to connect as a moderator
  • Reserve seats for a session
  • Restrict session access to a particular course or share the session among selected courses or make the session publicly available to students in all courses
• Sessions and recordings can be created and listed as content objects in the Course Information or Assignments

University of California College Prep Online UCCP Online provides rural, low income and other students with limited opportunities access to Internet-based college prep courses not available in their school districts. With the Elluminate Bridge, students simply go to their Blackboard environment and enter the desired Elluminate Live! classroom or conference room—with a single click.
